Knowing Your Piperline PIN Piperline is the system that provides you access to your Hamline records. Newly-admitted students receive their PIN and information on how to use Piperline. The Office of Student Administrative Service can help you reset your Piperline PIN.

Obtaining Your Hamline Identification Card Hamline student identification cards (ID card) are required for all students. ID cards may be obtained at the Safety and Security Office. The ID card includes your Hamline ID Number and Library Code.

To access Piperline, you need to know your Hamline ID number (or your Social Security number) and Piperline PIN. Using Your Hamline E-mail Account Hamline University provides an e-mail account for students. All degree-seeking students are required to use the official Hamline e-mail account for Hamline-related correspondence. The ITS Help Desk provides support in the use of the Hamline e-mail account.

Bush Library offers students free access to diverse databases. Access to library databases is available through the Bush Library web site. Accessing library databases from off-campus requires authentication in the Hamline Proxy Server.

Learning about the Campus Wireless Network
All Hamline University buildings that directly affect students, teaching, and learning are served by secure wireless connectivity. To access the campus wireless network you need to authenticate using your Hamline (NetMail/GroupWise/Novell) username and password.

Over 150 microcomputers are housed in public computer labs across the campus. The main computer lab is located in the lower level of Bush Library.

Learning about Printing/Copying Equipment on Campus
Hamline University uses a billing code based printing/copying solution for all students. All of Hamline University’s computer labs and public printer/copiers are under this billing code system. You need to know your Printing/Billing Code in order to use printing/copying equipment on campus.
