What is Netstorage?
Netstorage is a system where you can save and retrieve material from the network in addition to using disks, USB Flashstorage, etc...
How do I log on to Netstorage?
To log into Netstorage:
1. Go to
http://www.hamline.edu/netstorage/ and click on the link start using Netstorage
2. This will bring up a log on screen. Use your username and password from your Netmail account to log in.
3. To see a Demo on Microsoft PowerPoint click Netstorage.
How do I log on to Netstorage if I don’t have a Netmail account?
All students that are currently using Groupwise are going to be receiving usernames and passwords for Netmail accounts that can be used to log into Netstorage, as well as log into Infotrac and other search engines from off campus. This will not be replacing your Groupwise account.
How do I upload a file to Netstorage?
1. Highlight the Folder in Netstorage that you want to upload your file to
2. Select File, and click on Upload…
3. In the new screen that pops up select Browse… and find the file on your computer that you wish to upload
4. Double click on that file
5. Hit Upload in the pop up window.
How do I retrieve a file from Netstorage?
1. Highlight the file you wish to retrieve
2. Go to File and Select Download for Viewing…
3. In the window that pops up select Save, and select the where on your computer you would like this file to be saved.
What does Download for Editing mean?
Download for Editing allows a file to be opened on your computer and leave Netstorage open until you want to return the edited file back to Netstorage.
How much space do I have on Netstorage?
30 Megs.
Can I access Netstorage from off campus?
Yes, just like you would access it on campus.
