Founders Day - March 25, 2008

What's Wesley Got To Do With It?

11:20 a.m. - 1 p.m. |  Klas Center, Kay Fredericks Room

Share a meal and learn more about John Wesley's life and vision and what it means, centuries later, for Hamline to claim Wesley's values as our own.

Hear from faculty, alumni, and clergy panel members, and share your thoughts.

This event is free, but please RSVP to Linda Nybakken at 651-523-2200 by March 20.

Founders Day is a time apart at Hamline University to recognize the importance of the values and vision that went into Hamline's founding in 1854 as a church-related university that would serve the needs of Minnesota, which was at that time not yet a state.

Celebrating Founders Day during Social Justice Week knits together the values of education and ethical decision making and the desire to create a society in which all persons have equal opportunities--values that were espoused by the Methodists who founded the university and that find their expression in coursework and programs today.
