Acronyms Always spell out acronyms upon first reference. Use the proper and full name of schools, programs, and buildings.
Titles For faculty and staff,always include their title and any relevent department and/or school association: Pam Ridgway, web specialist in Marketing Communications Julian Schuster, dean of the School of Business
Phone numbers List the full phone number, including area code, when including contact information. Office extension x3093 should be 651-523-3093.
Watch the time Numerals are to be used with a.m. and p.m. abbreviations: 5:40 a.m. or 8 p.m. Omit :00 for event hours unless special emphasis is required.
When indicating a span of time, a.m. and p.m. are included when the time spans both divisions, (6 a.m.–8 p.m.), but if both the starting and end time are in the same division, use a.m. or p.m. after the end time only (5–7 p.m. ).
“Noon” and “midnight” are lowercased and stand alone.
Check technology terms It is email, online, Internet, web, and website in all instances.

During the fall and spring terms, Inside Hamline is sent three times a week: Mondays to students, faculty, and staff, and Wednesdays and Fridays to faculty and staff only. Please take this into consideration when submitting student-related events, as they will generally only run in Monday editions.
During extended breaks (winter break and summer break), and J-term, Inside Hamline is sent only once a week.
