Sports Medicine, more specifically Athletic Training, deals with the medical care of our student-athletes. This care includes the prevention, management, care and rehabilitation of injuries that may occur to our student-athletes.
The athletic training staff and student sports medicine specialists provide on-site medical coverage to our teams. This coverage includes pre- and post- practice and game coverage. Currently we provide two certified athletic trainers and 15 student sports medicine specialists.
The Athletic Training Room, where much of the care is provided, is located in our new state of the art Walker Field House. We also have satellite facilities at Drake Arena, Klas Field and Midway Stadium.
