With the final playoff spot on the line, the Hamline University baseball team came out with loud bats in the opening innings of their first game against Bethel University, claiming the #3 seed with an 11-3 win, followed by a 6-3 Royals victory. >More

Hamline University's Rosa Galtheir-Culnane (Fy., St. Louis Park, Minn.) continued to impress in her debut season, jumping to victory in the high jump and a second place finish in the long jump in the Meet of the UnSaintly on Sunday.

Andy Norman (Fy., Winona, Minn.) threw an NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the discus on the way to a third place finish, while several other Hamline University men’s track and field athletes placed high in their respective events as they hosted the 2008 Meet of the UnSaintly on Sunday.

After shutting out Augsburg, 5-0, in the semifinal game at 11:00 a.m., the Pipers lost a 1-0 contest that came down to the last out in the championship game against first seed and third-ranked St. Thomas in the afternoon.
