Hamline's K-12 Reading License Endorsement program prepares teachers to foster growth, development, and success for all learners. The six course program helps teachers get to the heart of what effective reading instruction is all about.
With a variety of strategies in K-12 student assessment, evaluation and instruction, the program supports a practical, research-based approach to teaching reading.
Coursework totals 15 semester credits, includes three clinical experiences, and incorporates Minnesota Board of Teaching standards for licensure, recommended content, and guidelines for effective teaching practice in reading.
Reading license courses are offered on Hamline’s St. Paul campus and at numerous off-campus locations. Online course options are also available.
New licensure standards: On July 17, 2009 the Minnesota Board of Teaching adopted new licensure standards for the K-12 Reading License. Find out more> |
