Environmental Education Certificate

10 semester credits

The natural world brims with opportunities for discovery.

Certificate course scheduling is flexible. Courses are offered on campus, at your site, or online. Coursework may include study in ecology, natural history, teaching methods, field biology, and geology.

Developed in consultation with educators in both formal and non-formal settings, CGEE's program is a mix of introductory environmental education concepts, teaching methodology and best practices, issues and actions in environmental education as well as a broad selection of content specific courses.

Combine new technologies with experiential learning, reflection and synthesis, enabling you and your students to link global issues and local environments.

Design a program that meets your teaching and public education needs while maintaining the rigor and innovation of Hamline coursework. There are no entrance tests or timelines for completion.
