Piper Preview is the first of two required orientation programs for all incoming first year students to help make your experience at Hamline exceptional. During this one-day program, we will offer you and your parents/family members an opportunity to meet with a variety of offices and departments to get all your questions answered. Also, you will be meeting your new student mentor, a current Hamline student, who will help you understand Hamline from a student’s point of view. You will leave Piper Preview with a feeling of pride and confidence knowing that Hamline was the right choice for you, along with meeting tons of new incoming Pipers.
For those students who were not able to attend Piper Preview, you will receive information via email and US mail regarding the Piper Preview Session IV (make up) on Sunday, September 6 from 10:00am-1:30pm.
Piper Preview Check-In
Check-in for Piper Preview will begin at 8:30am in the KLAS Lobby. During check-in, you will be able to get your picture taken for your Hamline student identification. If you are unable to take it at that time, we will have other opportunities throughout the day. The Piper Preview session will conclude at 5:00pm. Should you need to find hotel accomodations, please consult our visitor website.
Parking
As you arrive on campus, you will be able to park in any lots available on campus. Please consult the Hamline campus map to view the available parking lots. You will see that Parking Lots B and C are the closest to the KLAS Center, where check-in will occur. Directional signs will guide you to the KLAS Center from the parking lots.
Class Registration
All of you have received your registration packets, and most of you have already registered for classes. If you have not yet registered, please go ahead and register online. Our hope is that you have your class schedule confirmed and related questions answered prior to Piper Preview. If you have remaining questions, the Center for Academic Services staff will be available during Piper Preview. However, given the day's busy schedule, we encourage you to contact the Center for Academic Services prior to coming to Piper Preview - email: aa_student@hamline.edu or phone: 651-523-2912. Financial Aid and Student Accounts
Our hope is that you have your financial aid and student account questions and issues squared away. If you happen to have remaining questions, you will have limited time to meet with Financial Aid and Student Accounts during Piper Preview. With limited time, we encourage you to contact the Office of Financial Aid or Office of Student Accounts prior to coming to Piper Preview. Disability Services
The Office of Disability Services will offer personal meetings during each Piper Preview session between 12:30pm-1:30pm.
