These exchange programs were created in order to expose students to a different collegiate environment, both academic and social, that will add value to the overall experience of each participate while affording normal progress toward degree completion. Furthermore, it is our desire that students afforded the opportunity to study at another institution will develop a greater understanding and appreciation of another culture, along with diversity within the university environment and society.
ISEP Exchange:
International Student Exchange Program (ISEP) provides the administrative and financial structure to facilitate and encourage exchange between member U.S. schools, such as Hamline University, and institutions abroad.
Besides attending classes in the language native to the country sites, ISEP also has over 50 English speaking sites in 17 countries, which allows students without significant foreign language background the opportunity to study abroad while taking classes in their major area.

Hamline and ISEP exchanges are based on a reciprocal exchange of benefits. Therefore, Hamline students pay Hamline tuition, room board and miscellaneous fees to this instition. This enables Hamline to host incoming participants. Each participating international student makes a similar arrangement for the U.S. student at their home instition. In addition to the Hamline fees, students must pay their own personal and transportation costs. Scholarships are available for each student participating in the ISEP exchange.
