Step 1: Meet with Study Abroad Advisor Kim Zielinski at the Office of Off-Campus Programs & Study Abroad.
Kim will identify study abroad program(s) that best match study major and/or long range career goals.

Step 2: Consult faculty advisor. Advisors will determine how the recommended study abroad program(s) works with the Hamline Plan and academic goals.
Step 3: Submit 3 complete sets of semester/year-long study abroad application to the Office of Off-Campus Programs & Study Abroad. Complete applications are forwarded to the HU International Student Support and Study Abroad (ISSAS) committee for approval. Applicants and appropriate university staff will be notified of the committee’s decision via the Office of Off-Campus Programs & Study Abroad. The Office of Off-Campus Programs & Study Abroad will then forward approved applications to specific study abroad program sponsors.
Eligibility
Application for Hamline approval to study off-campus is competitive, and is limited to students with a minimum grade point average of 3.0. (Individual programs may require a higher gpa.) A student will not be allowed participate in a study abroad program while on academic probation.
Students will be able to participate in a study abroad program for one semester. Exceptions will be made for exchange programs, Hamline University Programs, and in rare individual cases when a full-year program is essential to the student's program of study.
International students may not study in the country in which their passport was issued.
