Get to know Willie…
I have come full circle back to Hamline. My liberal arts degree from Hamline was a stepping stone that set me up to thrive in graduate school and beyond. I have found success in my personal life, academics, and professional career. I attribute much of this to my beginning at Hamline.
As a first generation college student, it took some time for me to identify and settle into my academic goals. I was a transfer student myself. I initially started at a 4-year institution and transferred to a 2-year college prior to Hamline. I was a few years older than the traditional students, but I assimilated into the student body quickly and smoothly. I participated in student organizations and intercollegiate athletics. Now I am back to assist all transfer students in achieving their goals and finding success.
I come to Hamline from Target Corp., where I was an Executive Team Lead. Previous to Target I was with the Minnesota Twins as a Corporate Partnership Sales Manager. Prior to my stint with the Twins, I spent four years with the Lake Elsinore Storm Baseball Team. The Storm are the Class A affiliates of the San Diego Padres in the California League. I was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and Coordinator of Game Operations.
