The Office of Undergraduate Admission has compiled its schedule of events for the 2007-2008 academic year, along with other important dates to remember. Registration links are available below for these events.

SEPTEMBER
Hamline Admission Counselors Visit High Schools
Check back this fall to see your counselor's schedule and when a Hamline counselor will be visiting your school or attending a college fair in your area.
OCTOBER
October - National College Fair
Hamline will be at the Minneapolis National College Fair at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Be sure to stop by and check in with us!
October 16 - Fall Preview Day
We offer morning and afternoon visit programs this day. Learn about Hamline, the admission process, financial aid & scholarship opportunities, listen to a student/faculty panel, and tour campus. Lunch is on us! (Minnesota high school students are on vacation because of the state-wide teacher convention on this day and the following.)
October 17 - College Day
Spend the morning, afternoon, or all day exploring Hamline. We provide an incredible array of opportunities: open classes, meetings with faculty and coaches, interest sessions on study abroad, pre-med, pre-law, music, criminal justice, psychology, etc, free lunch, and campus & residence hall tours. This is a great day to see Hamline in the fall. (Minnesota high school students do not have school on this day— join us at Hamline!)
October 17 - Fall Transfer Workshop
This event is designed for students who are thinking of transferring to Hamline. Transfer students are an integral part of the Hamline community. We are here to ease your transition and answer your questions. After the workshop, attend classes, meet faculty and coaches; see Hamline on a typical day.

NOVEMBER
November 6 - An Evening at Hamline
Visit Hamline during this evening open house. Come early and participate in the Fall Fair - a celebration of the academic offerings at Hamline, and a great way to connect with faculty and students. This campus event is designed for students to explore information about majors and academic programs, tour campus, and learn about the admission process and financial aid opportunities.
Remember the Early Action application deadline of December 1!
DECEMBER
December 1 - Priority Deadline for Admission
For those of you who plan to apply for admission under early action, we are committed to providing you with an admission decision by December 20. If you have any questions, please contact your admission counselor, or call the Office of Undergraduate Admission at 651-523-2207 or 800-753-9753.
JANUARY
January 31 - Financial Aid Open House
This open house is designed to help you answer questions about the financial aid process. If you are just getting started, or have very specific questions, this is a great opportunity to meet admission and financial aid staff, tour campus and meet current students.
FEBRUARY
February 1 - Hamline Scholarship Deadline
Most Hamline scholarship applications and supporting materials have a postmark deadline of February 1st. The Diversity Scholarship and the Eagle Scout/Gold Award Scholarship should be postmarked by March 1st. There are new opportunities for first year students interested in Physics and students who have been earned their Gold Award in the Girl Scouts or their Eagle Scout Award.

February 15 - Hamline Overnight Multicultural Experience (HOME)
A visit program for admitted prospective students of color -- features lunch, staff speakers, an information session on academics, financial aid/scholarships, living on campus, and student life. Parents are invited to join their student. This event leads into the Hamline Experience (below), a chance to experience Hamline overnight.
February 15 & 16 - Hamline Experience
An overnight program. This is a unique opportunity to see Hamline from the inside. The students of Hamline University invite our admitted prospective students to connect with campus by spending an evening with a student host and staying overnight on campus in one of the residence halls. The next day guests go to classes, visit with coaches and/or faculty, and tour specific areas of their interest.
February 16 - Spring Transfer Workshop
An open house designed for transfer students. This open house will feature an information session, student/faculty panel, class visits, special interest sessions, faculty appointments, coach visits and campus tours. This events falls on President's Day, a holiday at most community and junior colleges in Minnesota.
MARCH
March 7- Scholarship Day
Scholarship Day is an important day in the college decision process for our admitted students who have either a 3.8 GPA or are in the top 5% of their class and have at least a 28 ACT or 1260 SAT (Math and Verbal). Presidential Scholars receive a minimum scholarship of $12,000. Students completing the scholarship application and interview may compete for full-tuition scholarships.
We anticipate over 160 students and their families will join us for scholarship interviews and a serious look at Hamline.
APRIL
April 2 - Presidential Fellowship Candidates' Breakfast - for candidates only
The Breakfast is a chance for us to gather and celebrate the hard work of our Presidential Fellowship candidates and the educators/staff who have helped the candidates reach their goals. This program will also provide you an opportunity to meet with current Presidential Fellowship recipients, Hamline faculty, and staff.
April 18 - Spring Reception - for seniors only
Spring Reception is for seniors who are finalizing their college plans for the fall. Join your future classmates as you learn how to register for classes, meet professors in your major field of interest, finalize residence hall choices, meet with current student organization representatives, and seek out answers to new questions about life at Hamline.
Invitations for this event are sent in early March, so mark your calendars.
MAY
May 2 - Just for Juniors Open House
Just for Juniors is an open house specifically designed to introduce high school juniors and their families to the Hamline community. Tour campus, meet students, discover the academic and co-curricular options, as well as learn about financial aid and scholarship opportunities.
MAY - Annual Kay Malmstrom Lecture in Physics

JUNE
June 22-26 - Minnesota Private College Week
Hamline celebrates the 14th annual Minnesota Private College Week, as prospective students and their families are invited to come learn more about Hamline during this week. This free, week-long introduction to the 17 colleges and universities of the Minnesota Private College Council encourages students to explore their college options with campus tours and general information sessions offered twice daily at each campus. Students who collect 4 passport stamps during the week will receive 4 application fee waivers.
JULY
July 20 - A Taste of Hamline Open House
Begin your visit to Hamline with a picnic lunch, followed by an information session about Hamline, the application process, financial aid, and scholarships. After your campus tour, you are welcome to share ice cream sundaes with our faculty and staff. Online registration begins in June.
