Hamline's College of Liberal Arts has steadily built its national reputation with an innovative curriculum and excellent, dedicated faculty.

  • Degrees offered: bachelor of arts in 37 major areas of study. Post-baccalaureate, certificate, and licensure programs also available.
  • Ranked ninth out of 145 Midwest comprehensive universities by U.S. News & World Report magazine.
  • Student-faculty ratio is 13:1.
  • Belongs to the NCAA Division III Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and fields 19 teams for men and women.
  • 2007-2008 enrollment: 1,987 undergraduate degree-seeking students from 28 states and 30 countries, including 14 percent students of color and 3 percent international students.
  • Twenty-seven percent of students come from the top 10 percent of their high school classes; 51 percent come from the top 25 percent.
  • 2007-2008 Tuition: $26,060. Room and board (double occupancy): $7,392.
  • Over 94 percent of full-time students have receive financial aid; the average financial aid award $27,356.
