Prospective Students Current and New Students Alumni Visitors

The Associations of Hamline Alumni (AHA) would like to know...

"How may we help you?"

The Associations of Hamline Alumni (AHA) serves a great many purposes - and not only for Hamline University alumni!  Faculty and staff can benefit from the AHA as well.  Here's how:

Lists1. Lists

Does your department...
-Send out print or email updates, invitations, or newsletters?
-Have events, get-togethers, or reunions?
-Schedule guest speakers or lecturers on a specific topic?

The Alumni Office can help you with all these types of communication by pulling lists from Banner, the database that maintains and updates information on alumni, staff, faculty, and friends on a daily basis.  Banner data is the most accurate, up to date information on campus, and is easy and quick to retrieve.

For more information, please email Catherine Price.  If you would like to submit a list request now, please click here.

Coding2. Coding

Does your department...
-Keep track of event attendees?
-Need help from committed volunteers?
-Have boards or committees made up of staff, faculty, alumni, or friends?

The Alumni Office maintains activity records for all Hamline faculty, staff, alumni, and friends.  Coding an individual's interests, involvement, and activities allows you to keep track of the people who have made an impact on your department.  This means that you can thank them in the Annual Report, add them to print and email newsletter and invitation mailings, and request their involvement in the future.

For more information, please email Catherine Price.  If you would like to submit a coding request now, please click here.

Recognition3. Recognition

Does your department...
-Know of alumni who are making a difference in their communities?
-Receive information from former students about their accomplishments?
-Have alumni who would be interested in serving as volunteers?

The Alumni Office recognizes outstanding alumni in a variety of ways.  We routinely send letters to alumni of the college and graduate schools to congratulate them on their accomplishments.  In addition, the AHA is always interested in finding alumni who would like to return to campus as volunteers on boards, committees, etc. and coordinating them with the programs they are most interested in.  Finally, the Alumni Office bestows annual awards on outstanding CLA alumni who are making a difference both locally and globally, and recommendations from faculty and staff help us identify possible candidates.

For more information, please email Betsy Radtke.  If you would like to learn more about the annual Alumni Awards, please click here.

Advertising4. Advertising

Does your department...
-Want to increase alumni involvement?
-Have events and programs alumni would be interested in?
-Need to update alumni on programming or achievements?

The Alumni Office creates the CLA E-Newsletter, a monthly publication that is sent to all alumni of the College of Liberal Arts.  Each issue includes three features, as well as events, updates, products, and services geared specifically to alumni.  The E-Newsletter has wonderful readership rates, and is one of the most effective ways to advertise to alumni.

For more information, please email Catherine Price.  If you would like to view the CLA E-Newsletter archive, please click here.
